- Ciprofloxacin 0.3% solution may form a white precipitate on the cornea.

H. influenzae
P. acnes

Ophthalmic Solutions

Empiric Therapy Dose Duration
[ Tobramycin 14mg/mL q5min for first hour, then q15-60min around the clock for 24-72 hours, then slowly reduce frequency 3-4 weeks (dependent on clinical picture)
+    
Ceftazidime 50mg/mL] q5min for first hour, then q15-60min around the clock for 24-72 hours, then slowly reduce frequency  
or    
Ciprofloxacin 0.3% (alone) q5min for first hour, then q15-60min around the clock for 24-72 hours, then slowly reduce frequency 3-4 weeks (dependent on clinical picture)
